Privacy Notice

Last updated August 25, 2026

This Notice explains the information Property Tax Appeal collects, why we use it, when we disclose it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including owner and contact details, property facts, appeal circumstances, hearing preferences, signatures, communications, and uploaded documents. We also process order and transaction metadata; full payment card details are handled by the payment provider.

We may receive public property and assessment records from county sources or data providers. When you use the site, we may collect device, browser, IP address, security event, referral, and basic usage information.

2. How we use information

We use information to search property records; create, save, and process applications; prepare and support filings; process payments; provide status and documents; communicate with you; prevent fraud and abuse; debug and improve the service; and meet legal obligations.

3. When information is disclosed

We may disclose information to service providers that host, secure, analyze, communicate, process payments, or support the service; to county offices or related filing and hearing bodies as directed by the service; to professional advisers; and when required to protect rights, safety, or comply with law.

Property appeal filings may become public records under applicable law. We do not control how a government body publishes or responds to a submitted filing.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use essential storage and cookies for secure sessions, application continuity, fraud prevention, and checkout. We may use limited first-party analytics to understand page performance and feature use. We do not state that we sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods vary by record type and order status.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Secure order and application links should be treated like passwords.

6. Your choices and rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of information, subject to verification and legal exceptions. You may opt out of non-transactional messages while continuing to receive order, legal, security, and service communications.

Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. Submit requests through the contact page and specify “Privacy request.” We will verify the request before disclosing or changing account information.

7. Children and changes

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this Notice as practices or law change; the updated date indicates the latest revision.
